It's Maple Syrup Time!!!

The girls are helping Grandpa make maple syrup. A few weeks ago, I took them over to Grandma and Grandpa's house and they got the trees ready to go.

They drilled the trees:


They hammered in the taps:


They hung the buckets:




And headed off to the next tree...



We had a few warm days so the sap was running well. Today we went over and they gathered the sap buckets, poured it into a pan and started boiling.


We have already had maple syrup and maple sugar fudge. Yummy!
