We took Angelie to church today to have her baptised. It went really well, and she was so well behaved. She looked adorable in her baptismal gown, the same one I wore 33 years ago.
She fussed a little during the ceremony but Daddy got up to rock her and she fell asleep. Even when the priest poured water over her head she handled it well. With the first handful she startled awake, the second handful she concentrated as if thinking "what is going on?", and the third she yelled. But she didn't cry long and soon was asleep again. She did startle again when the priest annointed her with the oil, getting smiles from the guests across the aisle from us, but she didn't cry and stayed asleep.
We had a lovely BBQ at the house after with our friends and parents. Even though we'd asked people not to bring gifts, some did. If Angelie gets any more stuff we'll need to move to a bigger house.
