We took Angelie to her first country fair yesterday. We went to the Carp Fair.

The weather could have been better, cold and windy, but at least the rain held off. Angelie lived up to her name and we couldn't have asked for a better baby. And I think she really had a good time too. When we first arrived, Grampie took her out of her stroller to show her the horses in the ring. She was fascinated. Then she decided to go for a little walk and visit the horses through the open gate. Grampie managed to steer her in the other direction. Shortly after we found the pony ride. Angelie watched the other children getting on the ponies, and then she said and signed "please". That's all it took to wrap Grampie (and Daddy) around her finger. I really didn't think she'd handle it once she got up close, and back down, but she's braver than even Mommy thought.

Here's Angelie on her first horse. (Mommy's never even been on a horse!):

We found the kids' activity area and Angelie met a clown:

Then met a lemur "friend of Zaboo" at the petting zoo:

And of course we had to hit the midway:

After hitting the midway, we went back for Angelie's second pony ride. Then headed back to Grampie and Grandma's for supper.

Angelie slept really well last night!
