What a difference a month makes. Sarah has been learning new words like crazy (though Angelie and I may be the only ones who understand most of them), calls herself RahRah, and has developed the terrible-two's temper-tantrums. Our normally happy-go-lucky child throws a tantrum at least a half-dozen times a day. She has also become more clingy and demanding. But, when she gets her way, she is still funny, and silly, and happy-go-lucky.

She's been given many chances to escape Babyland (behind the baby gate) to go play in BigGirl World (outside the baby gate) and is handling it fairly well. She has little trouble on the stairs now. She happily plays with Angelie's toys, loves trying on our shoes, and loves the dress-up trunk.

She gets banished back to Babyland when she puts Angelie's little toys in her mouth, or decides the houseplants make good sandboxes.

Angelie had her family birthday party on the Tuesday evening that her birthday fell on. We had to uninvite her godparents and their children at the last minute because I had entered self-quarantine with a case of the stomach-flu. The rest of the family, including Ed's parents, carried on without me. We figured Angelie was too young to understand a postponed birthday supper, and they had to eat anyway.

She took sugar cookies to school on her birthday, and then had a birthday party for her friends on the 29th at A Gym Tale (and indoor playplace). It went very well. Angelie's party cake was a Fairy Castle. You can tell the difference between a fairy castle and princess castle because "a fairy castle has sparkles on it, and a princess castle has jewels on it".

And of course May also brought a long-weekend. We spent most of it outside doing yard work and gardening.

Angelie tried to learn to ride her new bike that Grandma and Grandpa got her for her birthday, but quickly asked for the training wheels to be put on.

The girls also enjoyed their kiddy pool in the unseasonably warm weather.
