Thanksgiving weekend was a busy one for us! Angelie had a PD day and a playdate on the Friday with her boyfriend Andrew.
Then on the Saturday we went to Carleton University to see the butterfly exhibit. It was pretty awesome, but I wouldn't recommend it with tiny kids. Sarah was hot (it IS a greenhouse) and cranky, and the wait to get in was long and boring. We probably waited in line longer than we were in the greenhouse. Angelie, however, loved it!
Angelie in front of the big butterfly poster in the lobby:

She got to hold a butterfly! We had been told to bring fruit and so we brought some oranges. As we entered a little boy who had a butterfly on his fruit was leaving, and they put their hands together and the butterfly moved to Angelie's orange.

Then on Sunday, we met some of Angelie's classmates and their families at Upper Canada Village. They were having a Woodworker's Festival there, and there were a few crafty things and displays for the kids. We didn't see many of the historical buildings (but we did go into a few) but we had a horse-drawn wagon ride, a horse-drawn boat ride, and a train ride. The girls played in leaves with their friends and had a picnic lunch in a tent.
Angelie made a rope:

Sarah made a wooden puppet dance:

The butterflies must have spread the word about Angelie, because this dragonfly landed right on her hand... even though we had no oranges:
