I neglected in my recent posts to include 2 special photos. Here's one of Angelie in her Chinese New Year dress:

And with the flowers Daddy bought her for Valentine's Day. She was very excited to get flowers "just like Mommy!" (And yes, Mommy's were bigger.)

Of course the Easter Bunny has just made a visit too. Angelie got lots of plastic eggs, mostly filled with toys instead of chocolate but she got plenty of chocolate too, though mostly at Grandma and Grandpa's and Great-Nana's houses. Most of the little toys she got were parts of the Dora dollhouse she got. It's huge but she was within 2 feet of it before she noticed it. But when she did, she gasped and dropped her easter basket. It was 2 hours before she even asked if she could eat a piece of chocolate.

For Easter dinner at her Great-Nana's house, Great-Nana Angelie was frying onions for supper. Angelie told her that she didn't like onions. Great-Nana told Angelie that onions made you strong. Angelie told her 90 year old Great-Nana, "You need to eat some onions Nana, so you'll be strong again."
Here Angelie's doing yoga....

...someone should, Mommy won't be doing yoga for a while, and here is my most recent excuse:

Angelie will be a big sister sometime in the middle of October! We're all very excited, and will keep you all updated. Angelie asked for a baby sister for Christmas and her wish was soon granted.... though we don't know its gender yet. Angelie has only recently decided that a boy might be okay too.
Angelie has accompanied me to my first OB appointment and heard the baby's heartbeat, and also to my first ultrasound. She was very disappointed when the ultrasound technician told us there was only one baby (Mommy wasn't), because she wanted a baby brother and a baby sister, "like Dora". Towards the end of the ultrasound she started to talk, and the baby kicked its feet and waved its hands and practically stood on its head. Angelie was very excited to see the baby wiggle.
Yesterday Angelie said, "Momma, open your mouth." I thought she was playing doctor or dentist or something. She put her face really close to mine and said, very loudly, "Hello in there baby, this is your big sister and I love you." When I stopped laughing, I told her that she could just talk to my belly and the baby would still hear her.
The weather here has been getting better. We didn't quite break the record for the biggest snowfall, set in the early 70s, but came very close. The snow on our front lawn, however, is almost gone with the warmer temperatures we've been having. Angelie has already had her first picnic. On the weekend, Daddy went out to put a new door on the side of our garage and Angelie went out to "help":

1 Comments:
Haley had the same Dora house, but we finally got rid of it and all of the furniture. Now she's into Barbies and has a huge Barbie house from the 80s.
